NBRRI Policy
Government Policy Backs Bamboo
In June 2025, Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology formally endorsed bamboo as a climate-smart material for affordable housing construction for low and middle income earners. The Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI) is the credentialing body for bamboo in Nigerian construction.
